Adult Co-ordinating Group

The following email was received earlier today, (1st December 2008) regarding the future of Adult Co-ordinating Group, from the Group's Chair, Cllr David Wildman.

'To All Adult Co-ordinating Group Members

A paper, "One Vision, One Pembrokeshire", was presented to the Pembrokeshire Strategic Partnership Board for Health and Well-being at their meeting on Tuesday 25th November.

To briefly summarise, the document outlines the future direction for community and primary care services to promote independence and to protect the vulnerable as the identified outcomes from the whole system.

The Board discussed the paper and concluded that support and direction from a high level, operational group would be necessary to achieve the required changes.

They therefore decided to disband both the Adult Co-ordinating Group and the Pembrokeshire Community Services Group and to replace them with one new group.

The Board expressed their gratitude for the commitment of both groups and acknowledged all the hard work which they had undertaken over the last few months.

You have recently received dates for Adult Co-ordinating Group meetings for 2009. These dates are now no longer relevant and can be cancelled from your diaries.

Detail in respect of the proposed group is not yet available, the main purpose of my letter being to give you early warning of the changes taking place.

Can I take this opportunity to thank all members for their contributions and perseverance over the last few months.
